BlazBlue, the quirky fighting title from Arc System Works, is now targeting the portable market.
The well-received BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger will be morphing in to BlazBlue Portable for a February 25 release in Japan. A North American announcement has yet to be made.
The next title in a long line of PSP ports features the common updates, including ad-hoc multiplayer support (for up to four players), the full dozen characters and their Unlimited forms from console incarnations and the original plot. Along with tweaks comes an all new gameplay mode, Legion mode. In the new mode players will move their character around an overworld map, fighting enemies one-on-one in an attempt to capture additional territory.
Arc System Works continues to work on Calamity Trigger’s follow-up title, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. The company is also responsible for the Guilty Gear series and the more recent Family (insert “sport” here) titles for the Nintendo Wii.
