Gearbox Software has made good one the company’s earlier promise to deliver DLC before the end of 2009.
It may be nearly a month since Halloween by the time “The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned” gets released, but that won’t stop Gearbox from sending hordes of zombies at each and every vault hunter in Borderlands (360/PS3). The developer announced earlier this morning that PS3 and 360 gamers can “help” Dr. Ned on Novermber 24, as long as they don’t mind ponying up about $10 for the extra content.
The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned opens up a new area of Pandora to players, Jakobs Cove, which happens to be infested with mindless cadavers. Players are tasked with helping Dr. Ned, the man that created these walking dead in the first place, by hunting for a cure in the area. In true Matrix fashion, the best way to defend yourself isn’t stunning the former humans, but by putting them down. And then taking all of their loot.
What are they gonna do with it? They’re dead!
Borderlands (360/PS3) released to much acclaim late last month. Here’s to hoping that the bugs are squashed before the DLC is released.
