EA Sports has confirmed that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will support the new PlayStation 3 motion controller and include The Ryder Cup Tournament for the first time.
In Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, players will be able to compete in The Ryder Cup Tournament, playing for Europe or the US across various different competing formats that include: Foursomes, Fourballs and Singles. In this year’s version, in honor of the inclusion of the Ryder Cup Tournament, Tiger will share the cover with current European favorite Rory McIlroy, who is currently ranked 9th in the world.
On the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, players will be able to take part in full 12 vs 12 tournaments to recreate the true Ryder Cup Tournament experience as in real life. While the PS3 version will use the new motion controller, it is still unclear if the Xbox 360 version will use Project Natal.
The Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will once again use the Wii MotionPlus, and will include two all-new enhanced swing mechanics: The Advanced Swing difficulty and the Tour Pro swing mechanic. The Advanced swing will read rotation and swing angle, while the Tour Pro swing assesses rotation, swing plane and point of contact. The game also uses a first-person camera angle called True View, which will give players a true authentic golf experience.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is scheduled for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii this June.
The current game in the series Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (PS2/PS3/360/Wii/PSP) is currently available.
